Welcome to GY6

We equip military personnel, first responders, and veterans to overcome the hurts of the past, find healing, and walk in wholeness (we help "civilians," too!)

Best ways to get involved

About the name, GY6

When the first U.S. pilots flew into war, over a century ago, they could not see behind them— only ahead of them (the 12 o’clock position) and only to the side (the 9 and 3 positions). They could not see their “6.”

But other pilots could, and they would effectively tell the man ahead of them, “I’ve got your back. I’m looking out for you. Nothing will harm you as long as I’m here. I’ve got your six.”

This mantra has carried forth to other military personnel, law enforcement officers, and heroes of all kinds.

The inference is the same: you’re covered.

And sometimes when we feel like we're the "only one" and no one else can relate, we discover there are others moving forward with us.

The Process

1 | Identity

You must identify the hurt you need to heal. In fact, you can't heal a hurt you don't acknowledge.

2 | Implement

You must implement the correct healing protocol. An incorrect modality won't fix the problem.

3 | Increase

We "super-compensate" when we face pressure. If channeled correctly, we increase in strength.

Pro tip: don't do it alone!

We weren't designed to do it alone. Though we can certainly achieve a degree to healing on our own, it works best in community.

We hear the stories of others-- and see that we aren't alone. Though the details of our stories may be unique, everyone carries "something."

We heal. We obtain courage and we begin moving forward.

We help. We pass the healing we've received to others-- formally and informall

The flow

1 | Workshop (or other large event)

The easiest way to take a closer look at the GY6 resource (other than reading the book and/or accessing the online resources is to attend a workshop.

Workshops generally last part of a day, enabling you to take a closer look and see if GY6 is resource you would like to use, host, promote, or partner with at the next level.

If needed, you can acquire CEUs (Continuing Education Units) at each of these workshops.

At each workshop, you'll see clear next steps you can take to engage more.

See the events page for upcoming workshops.

2 | Small group

Many workshop attendees decide to take a deeper dive into the material.

Some choose to host a more formal class (i.e., with a teacher who uses the slides and/or videos we provide and walks others through the GY6 resource.

Others decide to host an informal reading group-- and tackle the GY6 book much like a typical book study.

3 | Next personal step

As participants engage with the resource in a slower and more deliberate way, the "next best steps" for them become clearer.

Sometimes, they need to invite their family/friends to a workshop or group-- to either help them understand their personal journey and/or to introduce their loved ones to a resource which might help them.

Others decide they need to tackle an addiction, meet with a professional, or step towards a goal they've been setting aside.

This is a personal decision.

4 | Next step for others

Many times, participants decide they want to help others in some way. This might entail getting involved with the GY6 program OR by serving in some other area.

The truth, though, is that we were all created to serve others. Once we heal, it's natural to want to help in some way.

Whether you want to lead a group, help host, or become a champion of the cause, there's always room for more.

And... there's never any pressure.

How You Can Help

Nine great options in A-B-C format

A = Attend a workshop

One of the best ways to learn about GY6 (to get exposed to the information AND the culture of the movement) is to attend a workshop.

Upcoming workshops are listed on the events page.

B = Buy the GY6 coffee

Every purchase supports the movement. Subscribe and save to keep it going!

C = CEUs & other professional requirements

We'll entertain you WHILE we inform you and help you acquire the credits needed to maintain your license, your certification, etc.

Rather than "doing the time" and simply "getting through it," we endeavor to create events which professionals enjoy AND want to attend again-- as well as talk about after the day is done.

D = Donate your time + energy + focus

We always need people to pull off the workshops, as well as host groups, assist with the shipping department, run the media team, and more.

Contact us using the form at the top of the page and let's talk.

E = Establish a group

The workshops are simply an introduction to the GY6 resource. The best work-- the deep work-- happens as people gather and share.

Whether you want to teach or want to partner with a teacher and host, establishing a group is one of the greatest works you can do.

F = Forward the info

People won't know about it unless we tell them. And, you know people we haven't met yet.

While you're here, forward this page, the podcast, or one of our posts to five of your friends.

G = Give financially to the cause

LifeLift, the publisher of GY6, is a 501c3.

We need one-time and regular contributors to keep the movement going.

And we can promise a long-lasting return on your investment.

Go here for more info.

H = Host a group, workshop, etc.

In addition to small groups and book studies, we also need churches, civic groups, theaters, and other locations to open their space to us and host a workshop.

To schedule a workshop, contact us using the form on this page.

I = Introduce us to your "audience" personally

Invite us to speak at your church, civic group, business, or other organization...

... or host us on your podcast.

Networking truly is one of the best ways to expand the movement.
