Understand what you're carrying. Learn what to do with it.
A one-day, interactive GY6 workshop helping veterans, first responders, military families, and others better understand PTSD, Moral Injury, accumulated trauma, and resilience—with practical tools for moving toward greater health in body, soul, and spirit.
Led by Andy Jenkins + Mike Sanders
Hosted by Michael Belton & Serve Ministries
Who should attend?
This workshop is for people who serve, protect, care for others—or simply carry the weight of hard experiences.
🪖 Active military — those currently carrying the invisible strain and stress of service.
👮♂️ Police and law enforcement officers — those who routinely step into difficult, dangerous, and high-stress situations.
🚒 Firefighters — those who move toward crisis when others are moving away from it.
🚑 Paramedics, EMTs, and emergency personnel — those who regularly respond to people on some of the hardest days of their lives.
🩺 Nurses and medical professionals — those who walk with people through injury, illness, trauma, and difficult outcomes.
🙏 Chaplains, pastors, counselors, and ministry leaders — those who care for the people who care for everyone else.
🏡 Spouses, family members, and friends — those who want to better understand PTSD, Moral Injury, accumulated trauma, and the people they love.
❤️🩹 Anyone who has endured hard things — and has wondered what healthy, hope-filled healing might look like.
🇺🇸 Veterans — those who served well and may still carry wounds related to their service or experiences that accumulated afterward.
⭐️ Leaders of nonprofits, churches, and ministries — those who serve veterans, first responders, military families, and others affected by trauma.
You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from this workshop.
If difficult experiences have affected your sleep, relationships, reactions, health, faith, or sense of purpose—or if you care for someone who is carrying those things—this day is for you.
What You’ll Learn
This full-day GY6 workshop walks through the three core areas of Soul & Spirit Health + Healing. You’ll also receive a workbook to help you follow along, reflect, and put the material into practice.
Part 1 | Total Health — Body, Soul & Spirit
Real health involves more than just the body. We’ll look at how body, soul, and spirit work together—and why healing begins with understanding what kind of hurt you’re carrying.
You’ll learn why emotional and spiritual health matter, how accumulated experiences affect us, and why we’re often only as strong as the part of us that still needs attention.
Part 2 | PTSD — A Soul Hurt
We’ll make the neuroscience of trauma understandable and practical.
You’ll learn how the brain and nervous system respond to threat, why past experiences can shape present reactions, and how PTSD can affect perception, emotions, relationships, and everyday life.
Most importantly, we’ll talk about practical ways to recognize what’s happening and respond in healthier ways.
Part 3 | Moral Injury — A Spiritual Wound
Some wounds are not primarily about fear. They involve guilt, shame, betrayal, regret, identity, faith, or a sense that something deeply important has been violated.
We’ll explore what Moral Injury is, how it differs from PTSD, why the two can overlap, and how healing a spiritual wound may require a different path than healing a soul hurt.
It’s all practical.
Throughout the day, you’ll receive tools you can use for yourself—and tools that can help you better support others.
We’re not simply trying to give you more information.
The goal is greater understanding, healthier responses, and practical next steps toward healing.

About the name
Early military pilots could see what was in front of them and to either side—but not directly behind them.
They couldn’t see their six.
That’s where the pilot behind them came in.
“I’ve got your six” meant:
I’ve got your back.
I’m watching what you can’t see.
You’re not facing this alone.
Over time, that phrase became part of the language of military service, law enforcement, first responders, and others who understand what it means to look out for one another.
That’s the heart behind GY6.
You’re covered.

The Vision of GY6
1. Make the invisible understandable
PTSD, Moral Injury, and accumulated trauma can be difficult to name—much less explain. GY6 gives people simple language and practical frameworks for understanding what they may be carrying.
2. Equip people with practical tools
The goal isn’t just awareness. GY6 provides resources, questions, exercises, and next steps people can actually use for themselves and when supporting others.
3. Help people move toward wholeness
Healing begins when we understand what has been hurt and what kind of help is needed. GY6 brings together body, soul, and spirit to help people take meaningful next steps.
